CCV Members Represented the Clearwater Community Volunteers at the Annual Shoot with The Stars Event

On Saturday, February 12th, 2022, 4 CCV members represented the Clearwater Community Volunteers by participating in the annual Shoot with the Stars event as part of our groups’ ongoing support for the Pinellas County Sheriffs Police Athletic League (PAL).

As you may already know, CCV is a major contributor to PAL, a very successful program that helps less fortunate children of all ages, attains their goals and dreams in life, regardless of their background. Many prominent local groups support PAL as well.

Because of our continued support, children who may not have had any faintest hope of a meaningful life, get the guidance, discipline, education, and understanding they need to succeed.

Joel Anderson, Sean Wise, Billy Chalmers, and Pierre Cournoyer went as the CCV Team to Tampa Sporting Clays in Land-O-Lakes to compete with the best of the best in moving target marksmanship. Although we did well our first year, we did not get a trophy to bring back and display. But we are already planning next years’ attendance to go for the gold.

Joel and Pierre also donated an extra $100.00 each for raffle tickets to win a free gun. We did not win one, but we were very happy to donate a little bit more to PAL.

We were all greeted warmly by Neil Brickfield, Executive Director for PAL. Neil shared some of the accomplishments of PAL students and said that recently one of their soon-to-be graduates was accepted into the US Space program.

A great time was had by all with a very uptone and on purpose group of hundreds of law enforcement and civilian organizations contributing to the cause of helping children.

We are very much looking forward to a continued alliance with PAL.
