CCV Provided a Fun Easter Treat to More than 160 Awesome Kids

The Clearwater Community Volunteers (CCV) once again proved that they cannot be stopped, despite our current environment.   CCV provided everything needed for make-it-yourself candy filled Easter baskets and pick-your-own stuffed animal to nearly 120 kids at the Sheriff’s Police Athletic League in Lealman.  Each child also received a plastic egg with a $5 bill and a raffle ticket, where one lucky winner walked away with the giant bear in the picture.  A surprise visit from the Easter Bunny and his Mrs. gave the kids an extra treat, as well as a great photo opportunity.  The kids had a great time, and were also able to take baskets and stuffed animals home to their siblings.

Next, CCV prepared 28 individual baskets for children from 2 months old up to 17 years old for two homeless shelters.  These awesome baskets included some candy, art and school supplies, as well as basketballs, footballs, and jumping games.  Plus each basket included a stuffed animal.  The kids, as well as their parents, loved the baskets.  One volunteer commented on how beautiful the baskets were.

All in all, CCV provided a fun Easter treat to more than 160 awesome kids!
