Clearwater, Florida: The Clearwater Community Volunteers (CCV) brought Easter to 150 underprivileged children. Children at the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Police Athletic League (PAL) in Lealman, along with women and children from a domestic violence shelter are some of the kids that shared in the Easter fun.
Neil Brickfield, Sheriff’s PAL in Lealman stated: “What CCV did for the PAL kids was EGGSpectacular! They loved making their baskets and when the kids opened their eggs and found $5 inside, it was like every kid hit the LOTTO! We had a great time!”

Baskets were provided for the children to fill with Easter grass, and of course candy. Children also got to choose their own stuffed animal, a couple of whom went away with two.
After celebrating Easter with PAL, CCV volunteers gave children at The Haven, in Hope Villages of America, candy-filled Easter eggs for a hunt and gave the mothers a giant gold sparkling egg with $100, a manicure/pedicure voucher as well as candy inside. Families at The Haven were also given three hams, twenty pounds of potatoes, the fixings for a green bean casserole, fresh biscuits and three apple pies for their own Easter dinner. A Youth Advocate at The Haven said, “Treats like these help the children forget about abuse for a day.”

The Clearwater Community Volunteers (CCV) have 30 years of community service under their belt with over 150,000 families and children helped since their founding in 1992. Sponsored by the Church of Scientology Flag Service Organization, they stay true to their reputation of helping others with their center located on the corner of Fort Harrison Avenue and Drew Street in Downtown Clearwater. Based on fundamentals developed by Scientology Founder L. Ron Hubbard, the CCV Center works with area non-profits to help these groups better attain their goal.
Entrance to Winter Wonderland is free but we ask visitors to bring a non-perishable food item and/or an unwrapped toy. The toys and canned goods are donated to local area charities, such as the Homeless Emergency Project sponsored by Everybody’s Tabernacle.
CCV will be treating PAL kids and the kids at a couple of homeless shelters with Easter goodies.
This is a multi-course dinner with wine pairings, prepared by the Tampa Bay’s top Chefs, and features curated live entertainment pairings for each course.
CCV will be helping PAL with their back to school event.
This event includes a silent auction, great food and a fabulous fashion show with VIP models. The exquisite fashions featured are from local area boutiques. The huge silent auction had something for everyone with well over 300 items, and much more.
