Pam Ryan-Anderson puts the rest of her life on hold each September to create a beloved holiday tradition in Clearwater, Florida, with a group of fellow Scientologists giving back to their community.
The first thing you notice are the antlers—the silver antlers. Then, those gray-blue eyes, all business but twinkling between the pair of Christmas tree earrings and above the holiday-themed charm necklace. You’re inclined to ask for an autograph, for you surely must be in the presence of the Spirit of Christmas—or at least Mrs. Claus in her off-duty civvies. But this is neither spirit nor fairy; it is the very human (plus antlers) Pam Ryan-Anderson, executive director of the Clearwater Community Volunteers (CCV) and Person-With-Whom-the-Buck-Stops for the town’s annual holiday Winter Wonderland.
Entrance to Winter Wonderland is free but we ask visitors to bring a non-perishable food item and/or an unwrapped toy. The toys and canned goods are donated to local area charities, such as the Homeless Emergency Project sponsored by Everybody’s Tabernacle.
CCV will be treating PAL kids and the kids at a couple of homeless shelters with Easter goodies.
This is a multi-course dinner with wine pairings, prepared by the Tampa Bay’s top Chefs, and features curated live entertainment pairings for each course.
CCV will be helping PAL with their back to school event.
This event includes a silent auction, great food and a fabulous fashion show with VIP models. The exquisite fashions featured are from local area boutiques. The huge silent auction had something for everyone with well over 300 items, and much more.
