Clearwater Community Volunteers and Clearwater for Youth Pinellas Benefit from Sold-Out Evening of Fine Dining and Entertainment

CLEARWATER, Fla. – June 9, 2026 — The 11th Annual Chefs’ Showcase, hosted by Flag, took place last night in the historic Flag Auditorium, drawing 110 enthusiastic guests for an unforgettable evening of culinary excellence. This year’s theme, “The American Diner Goes Fine Dining,” transformed beloved comfort food classics into sophisticated, multi-course masterpieces.

The evening began with a vibrant cocktail reception where guests mingled and enjoyed signature drinks. This was followed by an elegant eight-course dinner featuring expertly paired wines. Eight talented chefs from across the Tampa Bay area collaborated with the Fort Harrison culinary team to create the memorable menu. Participating chefs included:

  • Fort Harrison Executive Chef  Zoltan Vajna
  • Chef Marni Atherton, 20 Shekels
  • Chef Joseph Pulver, ACF Tampa Bay
  • Chef Sean Ragan, Executive Sous Chef
  • Chef Bill Brown, Founder of William Dean Chocolates

Each course was personally introduced by the contributing chef, while members of the Flag Band and special guest performers provided live musical entertainment perfectly synchronized with the meal. The highlight of the evening was Chef Bill Brown’s stunning dessert presentation, which received thunderous applause.

“The guests were completely blown away by the Fort Harrison’s hospitality, the incredible food, and the overall ambiance,” organizers noted. At the conclusion of the dinner, the chefs received a well-deserved standing ovation.

The event raised valuable funds for two important local nonprofits: Clearwater for Youth Pinellas, which sponsors sports opportunities for children from low-income families, and Clearwater Community Volunteers.

Lisa Mansell served as the evening’s MC, with additional remarks from Eric Harris, Program Director of Clearwater for Youth Pinellas, and Pam Anderson of Clearwater Community Volunteers.
