On Easter Sunday, April 21, 2019, Clearwater’s Coachman Park was abuzz with excitement as the Clearwater Community Volunteers (CCV) hosted the 27th Annual Ginormous Easter Egg Hunt. This beloved event drew nearly 8,000 children and their families for a day filled with fun, laughter, and community spirit—and even caught the attention of ABC Action News, who featured the event in a special segment.
The festivities included a variety of family-friendly activities such as pony rides, a petting zoo, face painting, train rides, a human gyroscope, and bounce houses. The highlight of the day was the egg hunt itself, featuring 30,000 candy-filled eggs scattered across the park. Among them were 300 golden eggs, each redeemable for a stuffed animal at “Bunny Central.”
More than 150 dedicated volunteers contributed their time and energy to ensure the event’s success, from setting up tents and managing attractions to assisting families throughout the day.
Pam Ryan-Anderson, Executive Director of CCV, expressed her delight, stating, “This was one of our most amazing Easter Egg Hunts ever! The weather was perfect and the kids had a lot of fun. You can’t ask for a better event than that!”
The 27th Annual Ginormous Easter Egg Hunt exemplified CCV’s commitment to fostering community spirit and providing memorable experiences for families in the Clearwater area—while also earning well-deserved recognition on ABC Action News for its impact and success.
