Since its founding, the Clearwater Community Volunteers (CCV) has stood as a beacon of hope, service, and compassion in the heart of Clearwater, Florida. Entirely volunteer-run, CCV is a non-profit charitable organization and the community outreach arm of the Church of Scientology.
Each year, CCV brings joy and support to thousands through its signature community events. In the spring, CCV hosts the beloved Easter Egg Hunt in Coachman Park, a family-friendly celebration that has become a seasonal highlight for local children and their families. Then, during the holiday season, CCV transforms downtown Clearwater into a magical Winter Wonderland. This festive charity drive features five village buildings, 100 live pine trees, a working stage with live entertainment, pony and train rides, a playground, a giant slide, a bouncy house, and visits from Santa and Mrs. Claus—all under a canopy of tens of thousands of sparkling white lights.
Inspired by the words of humanitarian and Scientology Founder L. Ron Hubbard—“Love and Help Children”—CCV’s mission is simple yet powerful: to uplift and care for the community’s most vulnerable members.
Over the past 19 years, CCV has raised more than $136,000 for children’s charities, including:
-
Nourish to Flourish
-
Shriners Hospitals for Children – Tampa
-
Boys and Girls Club of the Suncoast
-
Make-A-Wish Foundation
-
The Children’s Home, Inc., Tampa’s oldest orphanage
Through dedication, heart, and the power of community, CCV continues to make a lasting difference—one event, one child, one act of kindness at a time.
