Clearwater’s beloved spring tradition got the spotlight it deserved as NBC News Channel 8 featured the 27th Annual Ginormous Easter Egg Hunt held at Coachman Park on Easter Sunday, April 21, 2019. Hosted by the Clearwater Community Volunteers (CCV), the event brought together nearly 8,000 excited children and their families for a day of fun, sunshine, and unforgettable memories.
The news segment captured the heart of the event—30,000 candy-filled eggs hidden across the park, including 300 golden eggs that lucky hunters could trade in for cuddly stuffed animals at Bunny Central.
Families enjoyed a full lineup of activities including pony rides, a petting zoo, bounce houses, train rides, face painting, and even a human gyroscope—making it a true celebration for all ages. Over 150 volunteers helped make the event a smooth and safe experience for everyone.
Pam Ryan-Anderson, Executive Director of CCV, shared, “This was one of our most amazing Easter Egg Hunts ever! The weather was perfect and the kids had a lot of fun. You can’t ask for a better event than that!”
