Even in challenging times, the Clearwater Community Volunteers (CCV) continue to prove that nothing can stop them from bringing joy to children in need. This Easter, CCV made the holiday extra special for over 160 children, delivering baskets full of fun, treats, and heartfelt care.
At the Sheriff’s Police Athletic League in Lealman, nearly 120 kids were greeted with a hands-on Easter experience. Each child received a make-it-yourself, candy-filled Easter basket, picked out their very own stuffed animal, and found a plastic egg with a $5 bill and a raffle ticket inside. One lucky child even took home a giant teddy bear as the grand raffle prize! To top it off, a surprise visit from the Easter Bunny and Mrs. Bunny made for magical memories and photo opportunities the kids won’t soon forget. Many children also left with gifts for their siblings, spreading the joy even further.
CCV didn’t stop there. They also prepared 28 custom Easter baskets for children ranging in age from 2 months to 17 years old at two local homeless shelters. These baskets were thoughtfully packed with candy, school and art supplies, outdoor toys like basketballs and jump ropes, and of course, a cuddly stuffed animal for each child. Volunteers noted how beautiful the baskets were—and the children, along with their parents, were thrilled.
Thanks to the dedication and compassion of the Clearwater Community Volunteers, more than 160 children experienced the magic and joy of Easter this year. It’s proof once again that small acts of kindness can make a big impact.
